SERVICES

OUR FULL SERVICE  KITCHEN & BATH DESIGN PROCESS

Step One: Complimentary Discovery Call

A design consultant will schedule a 30-minute call to discuss your project details and our scope of design services and products. At the end of our call, if our services are a good fit for your project, we will schedule your design consultation & site visit and email you a prospective client form to complete to help us properly prepare for your appointment.

Below are the things we will need from you prior to the Design Consultation

  • Client Prospect Form
  • Appliance & Plumbing Fixtures Specifications
  • Email any Inspiration Images, or Architectural Blueprints
Prospective Client Form

Step Two: Design Consultation & Site Visit

We visit you at your home to discuss the desired layout, goals for the new space, and to complete the detailed job site measurements of the existing space or review your blueprints for new construction. At the end of the appointment, we will have determined your scope of work, budget range, project timeline, discussed the general desired layout and preliminary materials & finish quality. At the end of this appointment a design retainer will be established based on the budget range created. To move forward with the next steps to create a design, we require a design retainer so we can dedicate the proper time and resources, needed to allow our team to develop the necessary drawings, detailed proposals, material selections, and project management required to create the space of your dreams.

Step Three: Concept Design

Based upon our agreed upon scope of work, we develop concept ideation and preliminary design plans with our 3D software. We will reach out via email and phone to schedule an initial design review either in-home or via GoToMeeting. During the screen share meeting we will review and iterate the 3D design plan and discuss and notate any adjustments to the layout that are requested.

Step Four: Materials & Selections · Detailed Design

After the desired layout is confirmed, we will discuss and finalize our materials and finishes that are included in our scope of work. We will also discuss other trades that may be involved in completing the project. A preliminary estimate of the timeframe, material, & labor costs for your project will be given. Subject to any significant changes or additions, this estimate is expected to be within 10% of the final contracted cost, which will be confirmed upon order submission to the manufacturer.

Revisions: The design retainer includes up to 2 minor layout revisions from the preliminary plan. Additional revisions or changes post layout confirmation/ordering may incur additional costs/change order fees. All revised plans and any pricing changes will need to be signed off on prior to order submission/adjustment.

Step Five: Payment · Fulfillment · Installation & Project Management Services

Once complete, you will receive a pdf copy of your detailed design plans via email to sign off on before any material can be ordered. All estimates are good for 30 days. We accept Checks, Cash, ACH, Credit, & Debit Cards. Electronic payments will have a 3% processing fee per transaction. Once the contracts and plans have been signed, a 50 % deposit (less the design retainer fee) is required for the material order to be placed. The remaining balance of the cabinetry and other materials is due once production is complete & the product is awaiting shipment. The cabinetry delivery cannot be scheduled until the cabinetry balance is paid in full. At the time of delivery, the cabinetry becomes property of the purchaser.

If A & E Interiors is providing installation or project management services, a representative will maintain constant communication with the installer or other trades throughout the process to maintain a running punch list to ensure they are addressed in a timely manner. If any ordered components are missing or arrive damaged, we will promptly place a rush warranty order with the manufacturer for replacement. Post installation, the purchaser will coordinate with other trades, to complete final project touch-ups, which may include, but are not limited to: paint/drywall repairs, backsplash, countertops, flooring, or appliance installation, and electrical/plumbing (re) connections. All installation jobs will have a final walkthrough to ensure client satisfaction.
